Albinos is a purely export oriented supplier specializing in leather products. It was established nearly two decades.
Sixty per cent of the company exports go to the EU, particularly France and Italy. Australia and Japan account for 30 per cent of turnout. The rest is sent to United States.
OEM orders make up 100 per cent of output. Although the designs are created in house, most of the clients request a few customizations before they place an order.
Casual shoes account for 90 per cent of overseas sales, while formal shoes take up the rest. The company also manufactures other products made of leather and currently popular with python snake leather. For instance, bags, wallets, belts and more.
Models are classified as mid range to high end. A sandal which completely made of leather without accessories on top can be sold at $17.65 per pair, as the lowest end products. Python skin boots for women is priced at $200.
The main types of materials are cowhide, sheep skin, python skin and rubber. All are sourced locally in Denpasar, although these materials origin from Surabaya (East Java), Tangerang (Banten) and Central Jakarta (Jakarta). Since the demand is small and would be efficient to get it from local distributors.
The companys owner can release up to 10 new models per month. It also coordinates with clients who have orders in customized specifications. Samples are completed within 3 days, depending on the complexity of the design and the availability of raw materials.
Albinos operates one workshop and one shop located separately in Badung (Bali) with a total area of about 300sqm.
The company has six full time employees. Up to six additional workers are hired when large orders are placed. Peak seasons are in June, July, December and January.
The manufacturing processes include raw materials selection, coloring, cutting, sewing, assembling, finalizing and packing.
